Quaint visuals and melodious - Although the style of animation looks somewhat outmoded by today’s standards (no CGI here, only the minimum of features that have to appear to move are animated while the rest, including backgrounds remain static) there is a quaint quality to the effect and moreover the musical arrangements are highly melodious and engaging throughout. This video continues to keep my one- and two-year-olds attention despite repeated viewings (shame its not been issued on DVD as I would definitely buy it again in this format). Helpfully, the words to each of the rhymes are shown during inter-linking music which allows you to refresh your memory before singing along
Verdict of a three-year old: Boring! - This collection of nursery rhymes failed to live up to the standards set by Wheels on the Bus or Nursery Rhymes sung by Isla St Clair et al. The animation is very slow moving with long gaps between rhymes and scrolling words which do not keep pace with the music, making it impossible for children (and adults!)of reading age to sing along! Excellent choice of popular rhymes but rather feebly executed, I m afraid! This video has so far failed to capture and maintain the interest of my rhyme-loving three year old!
